Brandon Adams Artist - Psychedelic Robot - Interactive Art Gallery

Brandon Adams

Artist

Brandon Adams grew up in his ancestral home of Greenville Texas, a small town just outside Dallas. These familial ties have played a large role in his passion for art, beginning with music, an appreciation cultivated by his parents from an early age with heavy emphasis on music that captured the cultural shifts of the 1960s and 1970s. He has expanded the subjects of his portraits from musicians to iconic figures that have impacted others with their enthusiasm for life. Comedians, Presidents, inventors, athletes, and coaches, Brandon is unconcerned with their status, but focuses on subjects with what he calls “infectious personalities” whose determination attracted others. Brandon selects each person based upon their passion for the talent they possessed. Brandon graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas in 1997. He has worked as a creative director at several agencies and corporations. Throughout his career his use of color has defined his style. He uses color to attract consumers to products like bees to a wild flower. Through color, Brandon brings the emotions of each character to life. Brandon works with different mediums, including acrylic, spray paint, stain, water and oils. Blending these mediums to build up layers of complexity and rich textures is iconic of his style. Varieties of wood and defining elements are also incorporated to represent each character.

Dain Artist - Psychedelic Robot - Interactive Art Gallery

DAIN

Artist

DAIN is an American contemporary artist who combines the visual language of graffiti with collages of nostalgic portraits of Hollywood glamour stars. By hijacking classical images and creating urban, deconstructed portraits of 1950s Hollywood stars, Dain is considered one of the most influential street artists to emerge from New York. The process starts with a black and white photo, that he places into a collaged, surreal universe composed of old ads, logos, and scattered words picked from magazines. He inserts each figure in a different, stereotypically `feminine’ activity together with his trademark arguably known as the circled, dripping eye, like a graffitied monocle. His works were exhibited in collectives and solo shows in Paris, Berlin, Rome, Miami and New York City. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin, alongside artists such as Banksy and Invader. In 2018, DAIN was commissioned for public mural projects in New York City by fashion and apparel companies including Coach and Puma.

David Drebin Artist - Psychedelic Robot - Immersive Art Gallery

David Drebin

Artist

In a unique manner, David Drebin’s work combines voyeuristic and psychological viewpoints. He offers the viewer a dramatic insight into emotions and experiences which many of us have doubtlessly felt at some point of our lives. After graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1996, Drebin rapidly made a name for himself as an internationally renowned photographer creating images of movie stars, sports person¬alities and various entertainers and subsequently was commissioned for countless high-profile advertising cam¬paigns around the world.

Drebin’s photographs are epic, dramatic and, above all, cinematic and have been collected around the world. In a unique and opulent way, Drebin stages femme fatales against the gigantic backdrops of cities such as Hong Kong, New York, and Paris. The panorama of the big cities, which, due to their format, are a tribute to cinema, serve as cinematic settings. With their impressive skyscrapers, they provide the viewer with a nearly infinite surface for the imagination. The distinctive tension and depth in his pictures arise from the free combination of such differ¬ing topics as humor and sex, melancholy and sex, and melancholy and humor.

Dennis Mikhaylov Artist - Psychedelic Robot - Immersive Art Gallery

Denis Mikhaylov

Artist

Denis Mikhaylov was born in Russia in 1974, and quickly rose to a level of artistic ability that granted him access to the Union of Artists in Russia in 1995. Mikhaylov is one of the four founders of the famous artist’s union “Inoy Vid Udovolstvia” and has garnered critical acclaim by taking first prize in the London Art Biennale in 2015.

Mikhaylov presents visually rich, complex, and historically nuanced images drawing on religious themes of famous Old Master and Social Realist works. He gains inspiration from black and white photographs, and the juxtaposition of light and dark on the figures’ surfaces. His paintings pay homage to Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, and Raphael, and are accompanied by Socialist Realist extracts. Set against the backdrop of the underground transit system in Moscow, the paintings create a conversation about the opposition between moral principles and earthly sins.

Mikhaylov’s intention is to reinvent the way we view a painting containing subjects that possess such significant meaning, and demand interpretation. He reminds us of the complicated nature of belief throughout history, as well as in our daily lives, and in doing so implores us to question the evolving nature of man.

Artist

Travis Haas McCann (b.1987) is a Dallas based artist who embodies the new wave of contemporary artists taking center stage in the art world by combining mixed media, abstract paintings, photography and street art. Utilizing photography editing with acrylics, aerosol, coffee, and other objects he feels are suitable to each piece, he delivers a concept of classic vintage inspirations and real life experiences. With a studio in the Dallas Design District and murals throughout Dallas’s historic Deep Ellum District, Travis has created a unique following that allows him to create one of a kind works of art along with massive mural projects throughout the city. Travis’ art origins stem from beginning photography at age 12, and then revisiting the craft while his family was living on the island of Curacao in the Caribbean. He began printing his photographs and was inspired to add to them, which is when he began to cross over in to paint and combining the two.

His love of the island and its people is reflected in many of his works. He enjoys paying homage to some of the art greats, such as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, while still adding his personal abstract and street art touch. Once fully immersed in art, he aspired to go bigger and bigger, which is where his love for murals came to fruition. Travis currently has murals throughout the State of Texas, and is currently taking on his biggest project to date; coordinating a 700-foot mural project in the Dallas Design District with nationally known artists Annie Preece and James Goldcrown already occupying the project. Travis’s message in life and art is: “Be who you want to be. Life is short and you have the ability to create the life you want. Take chances and enjoy the present moment, because that is all you ever have. You do this, you will not only change your life for the better, but you will also change the lives around you.
