Associate Venue Manager

Job Description:

The Assistant Manager plays an integral and exciting role in Psychedelic Robot’s direction, development and future growth. The Assistant Manager oversees the work of several groups of people to ensure the daily operations of the Psychedelic Robot venue. This is a part time position.

The essential duties and responsibilities of an Associate Venue Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops and directs an operational structure for the successful running of the venue
  • Responsible for opening and closing operational procedures
  • Manages the front of the house, exhibit operation and management of the team
  • Must be proficient with Mac and technology in general
  • Conducts performance evaluations and corrective disciplinary actions
  • Trains and coaches team members in their specific job functions
  • Ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved
  • Interact with guests for improved service in the venue and ensures team members provide superior customer service
  • Properly and in a timely manner address all guest related issues, and safety or security concerns
  • Ensures correct working methods and safe-working practices are adhered to at all times
  • Attends and participates in all-departments meetings
  • Assists in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the owners
  • Assists in troubleshooting audio-visual and other electrical/technical equipment, as needed
  • Reports and communicates production related issues (damages, repairs, etc.)
  • Ensures cleanliness of the venue at all times
  • Other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in managing a venue, store front or other large space

Events Assistant Manager

Job Description:

The Events Assistant Manager plays an integral role in the company’s direction, development, and future growth. The Assistant Manager in this Part Time  capacity is hands-on, improves a workspace, and employs a positive attitude. If this describes you, please consider joining our dynamic Psychedelic Robot team! This is a part time position. 

The essential duties and responsibilities of an Events Assistant Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with Associate Venue Manager to create and maintain a superb workplace
  • Follow operational structure for the successful running of our venue
  • Open/Close responsibilities of venue with assistant management and supervisors
  • Follow Company protocol and lead by example
  • Act as a professional representative of Psychedelic Robot internally and externally
  • Liaise with potential clients; organize site visits, and special requests
  • Manage special projects from concept to completion as opportunities arise
  • Work with Publicist on special requests
  • Support Supervisory staff when manager is on duty, efficiently manage the front of the house or any other tasks as directed
  • Interact with guests for improved service in the venue and ensure team members provide superior customer service
  • Properly and in a timely manner address guest related issues, and safety or security concerns
  • Ensure the timely operation of the exhibit while on duty
  • Learn Psychedelic Robot’s audio-visual technicalities and troubleshoot when necessary (report and communicate any deficiencies)
  • Ensure proper procedure and protocol has been met to safely secure building
  • Attend and participate in all-departments meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the Associate General Manager and projects as assigned

Psychedelic Robot Exhibit Member

Job Description:

Be a part of an arts-loving and customer oriented team responsible for providing a first-class experience for our visitors. We provide exceptional customer service, and create and promote a positive atmosphere and guest focused culture within our unique, immersive experience. This is a part time position.

The essential duties and responsibilities of an Exhibit Member include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Box office work
  • Meet and greet
  • Answering visitor queries
  • Adhering to, and monitoring guests’ adherence to, all Covid safety procedures
  • And any other duties which enhance the visitor’s experience
  • Assist with merchandising needs
  • The role will require standing and/or walking for much of the time

Job Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • The ability to read, speak and effectively understand the English language
  • Be available to work flexible hours in the evenings and weekends
  • Must possess above average communication skills
  • Safety conscious
  • Must have excellent technology skills/Mac Proficient

Supervisor / Visual Merchandiser

Job Description:

To oversee floor operations, staffing and customer service support while the exhibit is open. Supervisors provide leadership and support to all exhibit hosts on the floor while also providing customer service support. In terms of visual merchandising, the goals are to increase sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services. To elevate the standard of presentation and to entice clients to touch and feel creating not only engaging shopping experiences but memories. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to plan and accurately display products for maximum profitability and visibility on the sales floor while maintaining an attractive, clean and inviting display of procured inventory.  This is a part time position.

The essential duties and responsibilities of an Visual Merchandiser include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and provide support to escalated customer service questions
  • Follow and help plan merchandising strategies that balance guest’s expectations and Psychedelic Robot objectives.
  • Analyze sales figures, guest reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges.
  • Become knowledgeable with our POS system.
  • Collaborate with other Psychedelic Robot team members and managers to execute successful floor setups and restocking.
  • Maximize customer interest and sales by greeting and engaging clients and connecting them.
  • Adhere to layout plans for the store and maintain presentation.
  • Maintain and organize the merchandising area as well as any other areas of Psychedelic Robot as needed
  • Maintain and occasionally change items off of mannequins.
  • Work with the store team on training, developing and maintaining Psychedelic Robot standards and visual presentations.
  • Work with the Psychedelic Robot Owners and Managers to plan product ranges/ transfers of non-performing products/overstock.
  • Collaborate with the Owners and Managers to ensure the product is prepared for the floor and the stockroom is being maintained. Assist and support with processing and preparing shipment if required.
  • Conduct weekly walk throughs with the on-site Manager on store set up and performance.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly with all members of the Psychedelic Robot Team.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly with all Operations Team and third-party partners.
  • Assisting in opening and closing procedures in order to support the business if required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unaided. 
  • Minimum 2-4 years visual merchandising or retail store experience. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to set priorities and organize workload to maximize productivity. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Team oriented, enthusiastic, creative, well-groomed, reliable, and punctual. 
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.

Psychedelic Robot Exhibit Host

Job Description:

Psychedelic Robot is looking for friendly, extraverted, and professional Hosts for an upcoming immersive art exhibit. Our Exhibit Hosts interact with visitors on various levels, including, but not limited to visitor assistance, monitoring, retail, cash handling and controlling access to the exhibit. This is a part time position.

The essential duties and responsibilities of an Exhibit Host include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducting the Front of House operation of the exhibit
  • Greeting visitors upon arrival
  • Provide information about regulations, facilities, and the exhibit to visitors
  • Firmly yet politely advise visitors of exhibit policies
  • Light custodial duties as necessary
  • Restocking retail and promoting sales
  • Report emergencies and respond to calls for emergency assistance
  • Implementation and enforcement of COVID-19 policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include daytime or evening shifts
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Using our POS system for ticket and merchandising sales
